Passwords – Passwords – Passwords
💻
We can never talk enough about the nemesis which is password management. I am coming at you with a bold statement, STOP being scared or intimidated by password management software. Our favorite, 1Password, goes like this. You create your account, with a master pin and password. Essentially from there, every website you visit where you have created an account, you will be prompted by 1Password to save the site and its credentials. It saves that website and your log in credentials so next time you visit the site, you can automatically log in by clicking the 1Password logo which will appear in the log-in field. You can also ask the program to create passwords for you so you are using different passwords for each site. Another great feature, you can share out passwords and add an admin so if you disappear a family member has access.
The price is right. Give it a go and I will almost guarantee you will be wondering what took you so long to jump on the train.
Get 1Password now for 50% off regular price (because we have an in). Good Until June 15th.

🖥️ Change Your Comcast Password. No, Really! ⌨️
Continuing with the password theme, we have seen a good uptick in Comcast email accounts
getting hacked and sending out emails to your entire contact list asking for Amazon gift cards. “But don’t worry, I’ll pay you back.” So log into your Comcast account, change you password but most important if you have not, turn on 2-factor authentication (2FA)!!
Here are a few links that might help.

📶 Who’s the best Internet Service Provider in the Seattle/ Bellevue area? (Our opinion)
We field a lot of questions regarding our opinion on who has the best internet service in and around Seattle: Xfinity/ Comcast, Quantum Fiber (formerly Century Link), T-Mobile Home Internet, Astound… There are other smaller player but these are the biggies. From our experience it pains me to admit that we believe Xfinity/ Comcast has the best signal. Now we all know what a challenge their customer service is but for those of you who have tried to get in touch with Quantum’s customer service 🦗, Comcast at least tries.
For those that have or are planning to cut the cord you can expect to pay around $55-$105 a month depending on your speed desires. Close second is TMobile. T-Mobile’s Home Internet service primarily operates over their 5G and 4G LTE cellular networks but they are starting to offer fiber-optic signal in some parts of the city. Please see their website at for more coverage areas. They offer affordable service packages from $35-$55, bonus if you have your cell service through them.

📈 What the heck is a PC BIOS Update and why should you care
Unlike Windows updates on a PC’s that will eventually force you to update, BIOS updates don’t. You need to know where to go.
Try this: on Windows 11, in the search field at the bottom of the page start to type “System Updates.” You will go to the operating system updates page. Look half way down page for “Advanced.” Click it. About half way down the next page you’ll see “System Updates.” Click it. On this page you’ll see any system updates including any driver and BIOS updates. I would suggest looking at this every 5-6 months and run them. I have never understood why the computer doesn’t prompt you to update like a Microsoft update does, but hey, now you know like the pros.
